DMCA Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026. Aridika Research Lab OÜ (“Aridika”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Aridika website and platform to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”) and (where the content is hosted in the European Union) Article 17 of the EU Copyright in the Digital Single Market Directive.

1. Designated DMCA agent

Aridika’s designated agent to receive DMCA notices is:

DMCA Agent, Aridika Research Lab OÜ
Rotermanni 12, Tallinn 10111, Estonia
Email: [email protected]
Telephone: +372 614 3920

2. Filing a DMCA takedown notice

To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice of alleged infringement must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the owner (or someone authorised to act on behalf of the owner) of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or — if multiple works are covered by a single notice — a representative list.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (we recommend the full URL and a short description).
  4. Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you (address, telephone, email).
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner (or authorised to act on behalf of the owner) of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Notices that do not include all of the above may be invalid. Please do not submit false or vexatious notices — knowingly materially misrepresenting infringement can expose you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

3. What happens after we receive a valid notice

Upon receipt of a notice that substantially complies with the DMCA requirements, Aridika will: (i) remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material expeditiously, (ii) notify the user responsible for the material (where identifiable), (iii) forward a copy of the notice to that user, and (iv) terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

4. Filing a DMCA counter-notice

If you believe your material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent that complies with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). A valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the US District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Aridika may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the party that submitted the original notice. We may replace the removed material (or cease disabling access to it) in not fewer than 10 nor more than 14 business days from receipt of the counter-notice, unless the original notifier files a court action seeking a restraining order.

5. Repeat infringers

Aridika maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright.

6. European Union — Article 17 CDSM

Where Aridika is deemed to be a provider of an “online content-sharing service” under Article 17 of Directive (EU) 2019/790 for any user-generated content, we additionally honour reporting mechanisms consistent with that provision, including a human review of counter-notices and the option to invoke an out-of-court dispute settlement body designated by the relevant Member State.
